Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The World Theatre Training Institute AKT-ZENT/ITI has started the year with great intensity. We were able to continue successfully our 15-year tradition of the International Directors’ and Trainers’ Colloquium – online – hoping to embrace each other again next year.

All activities are currently focused on the new Online Theatre Academy. We cordially invite you to make use of the offers. The courses are unique, i.e. they reflect the current involvement of the respective teacher with the subject. Already the subsequent course will change. Instead of ready-made videos, there is personal discourse with the participants and the joint development of exercises and practical artistic realisation.

We would be very happy if you could pass on our offers to colleagues who are thirsty for artistic and intellectual exchange in these times.

Below we present the updated programme for January/February:

⇒VIDEO	Jurij Alschitz complements the January Colloquium on “Silence-Emptiness” with the thematic counterpart and demands:
	Freedom of Words 01 / 04 / 08 / 11 / 15 February from 14 – 15:30 In this seminar I would like to show through methodical work and with the help of many practical exercises how free words live, how they play with each other, how they hide their content under a mask, how they replace it, how they divide into several meanings, how they kill each other and give birth to new words. 	With the “The Renaissance of the Dialogue” series, Christine Schmalor wants to revive a culture that has been disregarded in recent years, both in our society and on the stage. We are talking about the beauty of artistic, intellectual and energetic exchange:
	First part – Dialogical Principles 28 Jan / 1 / 4 / 8 / 11 / 15 Feb from 19 – 21:00 First of all, we need to understand the principles; then to listen to the wisdom of the Dialogue which might help us to discover a new potential for artistic and personal development. The moment I open my shell, I expose myself to the risk – of losing or winning. Without opening-up a dialogue is not possible and without risk there is no artistic life. … Christine Schmalor
	Second part – Dia Logos 22 / 25 Feb / 01 / 04 / 08 / 11 March from 19 – 21:00 Let’s apply the principles and go further: What conditions do we have to create to clear the way for a process that we can only initiate and then ride like riding on a super wave? Christine Schmalor (it is possible to attend the courses independently of each other)
	What can I do to enter into intensive dialogue with the role? I embark on a search for the Vertical of the Role.
	The Vertical of the Role weekly from 05 Feb – 09 April from 17 – 19:00 The self-preparation of the actor. This method shows the way to the philosophical spiritual core of the character, challenging the actor to create and engage as an independent artist… Exercises, thought provoking tasks and individual coaching will guide your personal creation of a monologe. 	Olga Lapina is a specialist in improvisation; her doctoral thesis on the subject is based on several of her own award-winning directorial works. She regularly offers lectures and weekend seminars – in English and Russian.
