autumn programme 2025

read in browser

Dear friends and colleagues,

The season is beginning, and we wish everyone a good start!

Our summer academy is extending into an online lab at the beginning of September, to which we warmly invite anyone who has already explored the topic of storytelling and is curious about new perspectives and experimental forms.

Here is our autumn programme, which will certainly be expanded to include a few more courses.
We look forward to the artistic encounters ahead!

LAB INTRO
6 + 7 September
from 15-18:00
(UTC+2) online
PRACTICE
September – early October

Storytelling outside the box

Lab for contemporary narrative forms
Artistic Direction: Dr Jurij Alschitz

We are going to explore contemporary forms of storytelling, where classical structure gives way to fractality, the Mobius tape, intertwined realities and narrative spirals. My goal is to show you how to build multi-layered stories that continue to “live on” in the viewer’s mind long after the end – in infinity. Your goal: to learn how to create stories that reflect the non-linearity of modern perception of the world. J.A.

The Storytelling Lab consists of three parts for those who want to put the new forms into practice:
I. LAB INTRO:  Lecture and Exercises with Jurij Alschitz
II. LAB PRACTICE: Your individual lessons with Christine Schmalor
III. LAB PRESENTATION and REFLECTION
For all who wish to share their results and receive feedback from Jurij Alschitz

2 meetings
27 + 28 September

The Actor in Superposition

Jurij Alschitz

Research Seminar for new Technologies of Acting
For advanced practicing actors and directors.

Jurij Alschitz will talk about innovations in acting practice resulting from the application of quantum physics. At first glance they may seem impossible, but at second glance they show us the way to pioneering forms of acting. You can expect a seminar full of exercises, experiments and, above all, surprises.

The Directcor’s Rehearsal Methods

Jurij Alschitz

Get the indispensable know-how for Directors, Teachers and Actors.

The actor is the most important, but also the most complex, the most unpredictable material that the director encounters and has to deal with in the process of working on a play. Nothing can replace practice, but before we experiment with actors, we should know our tools.

The true art of directing reveals itself in the ability to work with actors.

You will learn about the Graph Method or Method of Constellation, the Storytelling-Method, the Touché Method, the Big-Bang-Method or Method of Explosion.

Indivdual acting education

Alschitz School for One
