Dear colleagues and friends,
The World Theatre Training Institute AKT-ZENT would like to update its plans for 2024. All of this year’s projects have a central theme:
Methods for self-preparation
“Self-preparation” is a topic that Jurij Alschitz has been pursuing for many years and which is perceived as increasingly important and crucial for personal development and career in the present state of society – yet is not taught as a subject at drama schools and academies. The numerous methods are still waiting to be discovered and applied! We invite you to do so with us!
Discover offers for actors, directors, teachers and all those who want to train intensively at a professional level and learn new approaches to theatre practice.
As always, we are very happy about your word-of-mouth recommendations. We keep the fees low and do not spend the artists’ money on PR campaigns. So please pass on our offers to your colleagues.
Thank you very much!

The Vertical of the RoleChristine SchmalorThe Vertical of the Role is already a classic in the European Theatre. This method for the actor’s self-preparation was created by Dr. Jurij Alschitz 25 years ago. Over the years it has naturally changed, many steps have been adapted for online teaching and lead to even more self-reliance for the artists. The actor becomes the author of the role and thus the encounter with the director on the film set or on the first day of rehearsals in the theatre takes place at eye level. This method will help you prepare for a role throughout your life. The clear work steps give you certainty as to which tasks you can set yourself and in what order so that you can grasp a role in all its dimensions. In addition to the 8 group sessions, all personal questions can be addressed in 2 individual coaching sessions.

||
Online Introduction 8 – 12 May 10-14:00 early bird offer |
Dr. Jurij Alschitz continues his new permanentInternational Directing Programmewith Rehearsal MethodsThe biggest challenge for the director is realising their ideas with the actors on stage. The actor is the most important, but also the most complex, the most unpredictable ‘material’ that the director encounters and has to deal with in the process of working on a play. A director needs to have several methods in reserve for a good production, just as the actor needs to have several methods in reserve for his role creation. Develop the confidence to master and combine a whole range of methods. |
