SOLO
Dear soloists,
Even though we are very happy to be able to work in ensembles again, some of you are preparing their own solo project. Many are now facing the task of taking a fresh look at their audition repertoire, which can’t just be about a few nice monologues, but about presenting one’s own artistic personality.
Do I have something to say on stage? Yes, because I know what I am talking about, because I understand the subject as an artist!
What makes me different from everyone else? My free spirit, my confident handling of words, images, ideas, which I combine artfully because I know about the significance of the composition, which represents my individual, unique artistic language in the form of movement, language and all possible means of expression.
All this does not come by itself, but it is not magic either, rather the conscious confrontation with the mentioned aspects – not only theoretically, but practically. Body, head, psyche need constant friendly stimulation, your personal training!
Christine Schmalor’s course SOLO – the devised monologue is aimed at all those who work independently on their own projects and want to improve their tools in the form of exercises and work steps in the long run, as well as (further) develop the current project and/or the audition repertoire in personal coaching.
In three joint online meetings, theory is combined with many practical exercises; each meeting is followed by individual coaching. You can also register for just one topic or, if you are unable to attend, watch the online meeting as a recording.
