Plans to start the year 2025
World Theatre Training Institute AKT-ZENT / ITI

read in browser

Dear friends and colleagues,

Now is the time when plans are being made, combined with a lot of hope that we can realise them.
May your projects become reality!
It is the artistic spirit that can heal the world. Perhaps not visibly but effectively…

In any case, we hope that many of you will find your way to us to gain new strength, ideas and impulses and to meet colleagues from all over the world.
In the first months of 2025 we have a number of online proposals for actors, directors, teachers and educators; and of course we are planning our International Theatre Summer Academy in Italy to which we cordially invite you. There is always an early bird discount for all courses, which helps your wallet and our planning!
See you soon!
To a good 2025!

7 / 8 / 9 February +
14 / 15 / 16 February online
early bird price until 15 January

Jurij Alschitz shares his methods for the actor’s self-preparation

This course is a starting point to get to know the different methodological paths, to apply them and to understand their endless possibilities. You will receive 7 keys to the role. By preparing yourself for a role, you will have begun to take your artistic future into your own hands and will be able to open a multitude of doors and explore new artistic dimensions.

Thursdays and Mondays
20 February – 10 March online
early bird price until 30 January

Christine Schmalor proposes an artistic encounter with the dialogue

This course invites you to discover not only the beauty but also the magical power of dialogue.

We all talk, discuss, scream and try to communicate but do we know the secrets of a true dialogue? When was the last time you had a real dialogue that had a lasting effect on you? It is a seemingly forgotten cultural technique. After all, dialogue was born on stage – but it doesn’t have an easy life there today.

As theatre artists we should start again on stage and look for the enormous potential of a true dialogue. How to start? How to lead it? Which forms are existing?

1/2 March + 8/9 March +
15/16 March + 22/23 March online
early bird price until 1 February

Jurij Alschitz shares his rehearsal methods, the indispensable know-how for directors, teachers and actors

“The true art of directing reveals itself in the ability to work with actors.”

All rehearsal methods can be compared to keys with which you can, so to speak, “open” the actor, the role and the play. They, like all keys, are somewhat similar, but nevertheless differ in a small “prong” and therefore open different locks. In this course, Jurij Alschitz will present in detail five methods for working with actors; for accessing a play or a role.

8 meetings plus 2 individual coachings
22 March – 26 April online
early bird price until 1 March

Christine Schmalor accompanies actors to develop and create a Vertical of the Role

This method for self-preparation was created by Dr. Jurij Alschitz 25 years ago. Over the years it has naturally changed, many steps have been adapted for online teaching and lead to even more self-reliance for the artists.

Clear work steps give you certainty about which tasks you can set yourself and in what order, so that you can grasp a role in all its dimensions and start rehearsals on an equal footing with your director.

After this online course, you will have the opportunity to realise your vertical on stage in a laboratory to be organised jointly.

self-preparation: your secret to success

With its annual International Theatre Summer Academy, the World Theatre Training Institute offers a supplement to drama school programmes and therefore offers both students and professional theatre professionals a unique opportunity for personal advanced training.

The two courses for Acting and Directing will work with the wonderful summer story White Nights by F. Dostoyevsky to discover the various methods and full potential of the art of storytelling.

The Alschitz School for One
Offers an individually tailored online programme for actors and directors

This programme is aimed at students of all levels: from beginners to master level. It is a special programme that is created, as they say, “according to your figure”. Not all trainings, exercises and assignments are beneficial to all students. Each exercise is like a medicine – it all depends on the artistic individuality of the actor, director. Together with the learners – step by step, lesson by lesson – Jurij Alschitz develops a special method for their own creative style.

The Alschitz School for One prepares you to become a specialist for independent work in the theatre, theatre school, on stage. You will leave this training programme as an artist confident and able to take responsibility for your own creative future.
