World Theatre Day 2025

read in browser

Congratulations on World Theatre Day!

Dear friends and colleagues,

be strong in your love for our profession, be strong in your love for people, even if not everyone always makes it easy for us, because

Theatre – art – outlasts everything!

The International Theatre Institute ITI – World Organization for the Performing Arts intiated this celebration in 1961.

We are pleased to share with you this year’s

World Theatre Day message

from the great Greek Director, Educator, Author, Theodoros Terzopoulos.

As ITI research centre we value nothing more than the mutual exchange and respect of our common world cultural heritage, and your daily creative power in every corner of the world.

We wish you strength and courage for your art.

Dr Jurij Alschitz
Artistic Director World Theatre Training Institute AKT-ZENT/ITI
Christine Schmalor
Programme Director WTTI
